Why does Heartland only have about 100 products listed online?

When we decided to develop Heartland, we thought very hard about what products people are most interested in purchasing. We then used our collective experience to hone in on the best investment grade bullion products that fit the bill for the majority of investors. The result is our list of carefully curated products listed on our site, which is why you will only find about 100 different products listed on our site.

One of the primary reasons for this decision was to give you a simple buying experience, with less clutter and less distractions in your search for and securing of solid, time-tested bullion investments. With a simple selection, this empowers you to make the best investment decisions on products that we will always buy back from you, this is why we post our “Sell To Us” pricing along with every product you see on our site.

We could have listed literally thousands of other products – but the simple fact is that those other products are not right for 95% of investors in the first place. How much should I invest in precious metals?

Most investment professionals recommend including five to 10 percent of your assets in precious metals. Given the high volatility of the current financial world, it is more important than ever to be diversified in precious metals. Some believe now is the time to be heavier into gold and silver and other precious metals or tangible assets. Of course, like any investment, you should consult with your financial advisor prior to making any decision.

What are the risks?

Any investment involves risk, and precious metals are no exception. The value of a precious metal is affected by many economic factors, including the current market price, perceived scarcity, and other factors. Some of these factors include supply, demand, quality, and general market sentiment.

Therefore, because precious metals can go down as well as up in value, investing in them may not be suitable for everyone. Since all investments can both increase and decline in value, you should consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

What is your return policy?

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase with Heartland. If you feel that the product you have received is substandard, please contact us so we can exchange your products in the event of a material defect. We will provide you with detailed instructions via your primary email including how to package the product, where to ship your product and how to arrange shipping with a common carrier like USPS, UPS or FedEx.

How do I buy bullion and coins from Heartland?

Buying from Heartland is simple, whether online or over the phone. For online purchases, simply add the products you want to purchase to your shopping cart and follow the instructions on the page to complete your order safely and securely, 24/7.

To place a phone order, simply contact our Trading Department at (877) 360-3945 during our normal trading desk hours. For orders larger than $100,000, we recommend that you contact the trading desk via phone.

Do you charge a commission fee on my order?

Heartland does not, and will never, charge its customers a commission fee.

Is there a minimum/maximum order amount?

As you have seen, Heartland’s prices are very transparent, providing our customers with the best value and lowest prices available. In order to provide efficient and secure shipping and handling, we must maintain a minimum Sales Order of $1,000.00 (USD) per transaction for Sales Orders shipped within the U.S.A.; and a minimum of $2500.00 (USD) per transaction for any Sales Orders shipped to Canada.

While there are no maximum sales orders, on significant orders Heartland reserves the right to request a 10% deposit before we accept and confirm the sales order and lock in prices.

Are sales orders taxed?

No. Orders for precious metals sold interstate or within the state of Oklahoma, are not subject to any sales tax.

Do you report my purchases to the IRS or other government agencies?

Heartland is not required to report our sales transactions to the IRS or any other federal, state or local agencies.

When are my prices locked in?

When making an online purchase, your prices are temporarily locked in after you click “Proceed to Checkout” in your shopping cart.

Phone orders are temporarily locked in when our trading representative confirms your order quantity and pricing.

All prices are permanently locked in after the Order Confirmation Number is issued for either online or offline transactions.

How long are my prices locked in?

When making an online purchase, your prices are temporarily locked in for ten minutes after you click “Proceed to Checkout” in your shopping cart. Heartland provides a timer to inform you of your remaining time before prices are updated.

Are there quantity discounts?

Yes. All of our products at Heartland have quantity-based tiered pricing listed – automatically giving you the best possible price for higher volume orders.

However, we may extend additional discounts when possible on orders more than $100,000 (USD) or large orders of individual items. Please feel free to call us with what you are looking for.

What form of payment does Heartland accept?

Heartland Precious Metals currently accepts Bank Wire, Personal Check, Money Order and Cashier’s Check.  At this time, we do not accept Credit Cards, Paypal or any other forms of online money transfer.

Many customers use online banking bill-pay tools to submit payment to Heartland.  These payments are actually personal checks issued by your bank.

Is there a processing or holding period for checks?

Before we ship valuable precious metals, Heartland deposits all personal checks, certified checks and cashier’s checks for collection through our bank(s). This will necessarily entail a typical processing period of up to 5-10 business days before we authorize shipment, regardless of when such checks may clear the banking system. Once we have verified clearing of those funds, your order will be released for shipment.

How do I wire funds?

Bank Wire instructions including our bank name, ABA routing number and account number will be sent via email to the email address you provided on your order. Any fees or charges your bank assesses for this service is your sole responsibility and will not be refunded, discounted or returned. Please Note: we only accept Direct Bank Wire, not ACH or money transfer.

How quickly do you need my payment?

Payment is expected within five business days for orders under $25,000.00 (USD) and for three business days for orders of more than $25,000.00 (USD).

What happens if my payment is not received in the required time period?

If we have not received your payment within the time-frame required, we will email you a notice of this event.

At Heartland, we understand that occasionally something happens resulting in the delay of a payment. We simply ask that you call us to help resolve the issue.

When you place your order with us, this is a contractual agreement according to our Terms and Conditions which completely outlines all expectations for both our customers and Heartland. We do reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to cancel any order for which payment has not been received in the specified timeframe.

What happens if I don’t follow up on my order?

Upon selecting Check or Bank Wire as the payment form on your order, we will send periodic updates to your email address advising you of the status of your order. In this case, if we do not receive payment on the order, we will operate according to our Terms and Conditions.

Failure to pay for an order will result in the assessment of any market loss, cancellation fees and perhaps permanent suspension from placing future orders with us.

Our experienced trading professionals will set up the Purchase Order and provide you with all the necessary details. Next, ship your precious metals to Heartland for processing and review. Then we pay you in the method you’d prefer – check or bank wire.

What’s the minimum transaction amount to sell to Heartland?

When you sell your items to us, our minimum purchase order amount is $1,000.00 (USD). When you sell your items to us there are no hidden fees or charges.

Regardless of where you purchased your precious metals, we are very likely to offer you a highly competitive price for them even if they aren’t listed on our site.

At Heartland, we will always publish a buy-back price on every product we sell, and we’ll purchase virtually any bullion, currency-based collectible or precious metal. Coins can be certified or raw (raw means they aren’t in a major grading service’s holder).

How long before I have to send in my metals?

After your order is confirmed, you must provide Heartland with the tracking number within 24 hours of the purchase order confirmation.

What happens if I change my mind and don’t send you my precious metals after the sell order has been confirmed?

Once Heartland has issued a purchase order confirmation number all prices are locked-in, and there is a binding contract between us for your transaction. As a result, any market risk for breach is transferred to you at the time the purchase order is confirmed. Heartland reserves the right to cancel any purchase order at any time and for any reason.

Shipping

What are the shipping, handling, and insurance charges?

All U.S. based orders over $5,000 (USD) at Heartland are shipped FREE of charge, with tracking and insurance included. For orders less than $5,000 (USD) a small Shipping & Handling charge of $9.95 will be added to each order.

How long will it take to receive my package?

You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.  Typically delivery will be completed within 3 – 5 days from the date of shipment.

How do you wrap and secure your packages?

At Heartland, your privacy and security are important. We carefully and discreetly pack all of our shipments in plain brown paper wrapping or standard USPS boxes with no indication as to the contents inside. Each package has a unique tracking number associated with it, which will be emailed to your primary email address upon shipment so you can track your package along the way.

We ship sales orders, at our discretion, by U.S. Mail, UPS, Federal Express or another common carrier with tracking numbers and appropriate insurance included.

Is my order insured while being shipped?

Yes, All Heartland shipments are insured for the value of the contents of the package. If you feel that your package has been lost in transit, please contact us within 30 days of the shipping date of your order so we may assist you in recovering the lost package or the insurance claim on the package.
